Hola! I’m sure the two of you all of you that read the blog are wondering what could have possibly inspired me to start blogging again. And I’m happy to say that it’s because I’m ENGAGED!!!! I will post the proposal story soon, but on July 4th, the man of my dreams asked me to spend the rest of my life with him :). I couldn’t wait to say yes!

I really want to remember this exciting time of my life.. hence the blog!

Buuuut that’s a story for another time 🙂

Halloween was actually our birthday (love being twins and LOVE having such an awesome birthday!).

My day started out pretty horribly.. I woke up at 4:40 (normal for me), got outside, and saw that my car was covered in ice! I’m used to living in Hoboken and just walking to the train to get to work so I was a little shocked. Luckily, I still had a scraper in my car, so I scraped off Little Blue (whose birthday is also Halloween ;-)) and I was good to go. Got to the train station 5 mins before my train and went to pay for parking. The first meter DECLINED both of my debit cards. So. Not. Cool. I tried the second meter which couldn’t read the first card and FINALLY read the second card…. right as my train pulled out of the station! The next train wasn’t until 5:33 so I sulked about the unnecessary lost sleep before heading back to my warm car. Turns out, the 5:33 was then DELAYED 25 mins. So… it was a pretty horrible morning. All I wanted to do was run and I couldn’t.

Top that with a busyyyy day at work. By the time 5:30 came around, I was ready to bolt out the door and sprint to Blockheads!

If you live in NYC and HAVEN’T been here, you are seriously missing out. They have the BEST $5 margaritas.. anywhere!! Plus, addicting chips & salsa and SO many vegan and vegetarian options.  It’s by far my favorite place to go for a fun, yummy dinner :). R and I settled down at a teeny little table and enjoyed spending some quality b-day time together. For me: 1/2 a spinach burrito, a grande peach mango margarita, and too many chips to count. PERFECT!

Bonus: The Empire State Building and Blockheads were super festive for my birthday!

I was very happy that the day ended much better than how it began :).

And now.. I feel old. Meh.
